The beaches of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio
The gulf of Porto Vecchio is much larger than you might imagine, stretching from the Pointe de Cala Rossa in the north to the Pointe de la Chiappa in the south.
But in general, this gulf is "enlarged" to include the Saint Cyprien area in the north and, of course, the beaches of Palombaggia and Santa Giulia in the south.
Here's some information on Porto Vecchio's most beautiful beaches.
Cala Rossa beach
It's the closest beach to the Domaine de Caranella and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the Gulf of Porto Vecchio.
Fine sand, easy parking (especially if you live at the Domaine) and quality facilities to enjoy a very safe and friendly beach. It's also "different" from other beaches in the Gulf of Porto Vecchio.

The beaches of Saint Cyprien
The bay of Saint Cyprien is the neighboring bay of Cala Rossa. This wide, shallow, enclosed cove is particularly safe. Its shallowness and the purity of its waters make it one of the most beautiful and photogenic in the region.
The sandy beach is particularly long. There are two different access points (two parking lots)
To the south, the beach has several establishments in season. Swimming is supervised in July and August. At the end is the small beach of the Tour de Saint Cyprien, accessible only on foot and by crossing the mouth of a pond.
To the north, towards the Etang d'Arasu, the beach becomes narrower, less frequented and much wilder.
Palombaggia beach
This is one of the island's best-known beaches. Palombaggia has even been ranked France's most beautiful beach for several years by Trip Advisor users. This long white sandy beach, with its incredible colors, pink granite promontories, deep green umbrella pines, white sand and translucent water, is also one of the busiest in summer.
Access to the beach is at several points, with paid parking except at the northern entrance to the beach, where ample parking is available. Numerous on-site establishments offer dining and leisure facilities.
Santa Giulia beach
Along with Palombaggia, Santa Giulia is the best-known beach in southern Corsica. And it's fair to say that it deserves all the media attention it gets. The color of the water, the configuration of the beach, the pine trees and the pond in the background, the wooden pontoons and the festive atmosphere all combine to make Santa Giulia one of the island's most popular spots at the height of the season.
Access is via a departmental road leading to a large paying parking lot.
Numerous beach facilities and leisure services on the beach.
Tramulimacchia beach
This is undoubtedly the beach with the most difficult name to pronounce!
It is the natural continuation of Cala Rossa beach, still in the commune of Lecci.
The atmosphere is rather family-friendly and convivial,
Every summer, there is a leisure centre with windsurf, catamaran, canoe, paddle and pedalo hire (the Tramulimacchia sailing school website ).
Le Benedettu
Located on the Benedettu peninsula, the beach is quite small.
Particularly safe, it's a family beach. This is the terminus of the Cala Rossa road.
Carataggio beach - Carataghju
One of the wildest of our selection and also one of the most difficult to access. You'll have to walk a little, along a small path, to discover this tiny paradise cove.
The locals have christened it "Tahiti's beach" in reference to the color of the water and sand.
Allow 15/20 minutes on foot from your car park.
Tamarriciu beach
Following on from Palombaggia beach, Tamarriciu beach is a little smaller and narrower. It enjoys the same colors as its neighbor.
Acciaro beach
Acciaro or Acciaju is the southern end of the beach commonly known as Palombaggia.
The Acciaro headland divides the area into two distinct beaches: Acciaju to the south, with charming little sand dunes. To the north is Folaca, where you'll find a number of restaurants.
Access is from the beach road, with a large pay parking lot close to the beach.
